Re: weekend w/ Jesse

Ceres, I work on an ortho/neuro unit. We care for folks with joint, bone and neurological injuries/surgeries. Insist on a referral to an orthpedic surgeon, preferably one specializing in sports injuries. My mother in law had a knee replacement when in her late 70's or early 80s and is going strong at 91 after subsequent hip surgeries. A lot of the people I see have less pain after a knee replacement than they had with their bad knees. Ask about a "minimally invasive" procedure. Smaller incision, less damage to the muscles and so a shorter recovery time.
I know how you feel about letting anyone mess with your beds, but is it worth the pain to do it yourself? Not to mention the risk of falling with that unstable knee. Maybe a brace while things are pending? I hope you're using a chair or stool rather than kneeling. Hmm, how did I get up on this soapbox.
Take care of yourself, OK?
