Cathy, our community had prairie plantings on center road isles.   City hall
had so many complaints for several yrs and they finally removed them last yr &
replaced with some shrubs, grass & bricks.
The main purpose of the plantings was to reduce mowing which the city has
acres to mow.   I must say prairie plantings make sense but not in a center
aisle
of vast area of cement.
