RE: green sand prices

Interesting, I have never seen that for sale at any nursery or feed
store here, and I think I've been to them all. Maybe a regional thing?
But I have noticed that anything, ummmm, what's the word I'm looking
for...specialized maybe...is becoming almost nonexistent. It's like the
dumbing down of gardening, you can only buy what the lowest common
denominator knows how to use, and all they know is how to buy a box that
says "Rose Food". They don't even sell plain sulfur in larger bags now,
just in little 2 pound sacks. Now I mail-order from Peaceful Valley
where I can get exactly what I want, but the shipping is pretty
expensive.

Eeeeck - no, I get a 40 lb. sack at the feed store for $7.50 (no tax on
ag
products) and it's 9 something at the nursery.
Check your local nurseries and feed stores.
