Fabulous Finds

I had to go to Charleston today to a funeral and to console myself afterwards
(OK not really but it was a good justification) I made the trek to one of my
favorite nurseries.

I found my Tasmanian Tree Fern!! YAY! They had them in from Monrovia, 7 gal
and 5 gal and the best part is one of the 5 gals was mismarked so I got it for
$39.99 instead of $59.99. It's HUGE! Took up half of the back of my jeep.
I also got:
Dracaena "Limelight"
Cordyline "Miss Andrea" (Couldn't pass that one up)
Polypodium aureum 'Mandianum' (Bear Paw fern that has a beautiful blue cast)
Rhapis Excelsa, which is one of my all time favorite plants and was only
$25.00 They are usually horribly expensive here.
Hakonechloa (almost impossible to find here)
A beautiful dark green and purple Lysmachia, and a tiny-leaved golden/lime
Oxalis. I can't recall their names right now.
And then on the way home I stopped to show my friends at the Garden Gate and
they had gotten in some gorgeous 3 gallon dark red Mandevilla so I ended up
with one of those too! I'm so happy.
