Sorry, I should have been clearer. I mean that if they aren't sick by NOW. By now a pet would have gotten sick from tainted food or the owner would have returned unopened food that had been listed.

Kitty,
I would NOT make that assumption. My dogs had been eating Pet Pride and Mighty Dog for more than a year before they got sick.

As Daryl said, it's difficult to trust anything. However, it would be my assumption that if your pets have been eating the same thing for a long time now and are not sick, it's probably safe to continue giving them the same food.
