RE: Summertime...


That must be it. I was hoping I could coddle it enough to grow, kind of
like my rhododendron (although of course the rhododendron went roots-up
last fall...). There is a huge selection of camellias, a veritable
forest of them, at Descanso Gardens which is about an hour from here but
of course not *quite* the same climate.

probably more too dry than too hot Cyndi-They are partial to very humid
conditions.
