Really, now. I had honestly thought it was a joke, but it is apparently true. I had heard Bush was cutting back tours of duty from 15 months to 12 months....but that it ends up being the same because he's flying them back on American Airlines.

Well, heis NOT coming back this weekend. It will probably be next week
before he can come home. The airline that normally picks up the soldiers
over there went bankrupt, so they scrambled to find a new one, and that
put them all behind schedule. So I won't know his new homecoming date
until closer to Friday.

He is an expert marksman....shooting. He will be training those within a
specialized area. He wanted to be a sniper....I just cringed. I told him
it was one thing to defend yourself and your platoon, but to just "pick"
people off like they are bugs was more than I could stomach. That is
somebody's husband, brother, son, father....... And they have to go
through so much psychological testing before they are allowed to be a
sniper. They don't want them coming back being all "Rambo like". So, he
chose a different area to go into. BUT, after several military
competitions at shooting (he was up against the best of the best) they
offered him this position at Quantico.....so he took it because his
girlfriend, soon to be fiance, lives in that area.

What kind of training will he be doing with recruits Jesse? I know they go
to MCT (Marine Combat Training) after they graduate boot camp but I thought that was at Camp Lejeune in NC. Just curious. I thought they did all recruit 
training at either Parris Island or Sand Diego.

Ohhh...it's all good...ya know! Life is good. The first time he went
over there...I was a wreck. But it was more violent over there the first
time - really bad. This time..I just felt more of a peace about it. It's
like my son says...doesn't matter where you are...when it's your time,
it's your time. I just felt like things would be O.K. this time around.
He dodged a road side bomb the first trip...this time..he said it was
"boring" over there. I said boring was GOOD.

Omaha NE) he could catch dead easily.  It is an honorable profession,
and if he's smart (which he must be if he takes after his mom) he'll
work his way into a job that he can use on the outside.  I spent some
