I am so envious. The Easter Bunny brought me two units of blood. My red
count was low, 2.45 so I needed some help. Now, I am hoping that my
chemistry will allow me to take my final chemo this thursday. If now, my
gardening might have to be put out a week or so. Winter advantage weeds
are everywhere, despite my having weeded in January before my surgery.
I'm so ready to play in the dirt.

Yeah, when it comes to tree trimming, the cheap guys are generally 
butchers. Had the same problem here. Been weeding like a fiend all week to 
beat the rain that was coming today. Got about 75% done and beds mulched. 
If we don't get too much rain - I can finish tomorrow. Also got my peppers, 
basil, marigolds, Russian sage, blue scabiosa, one lemon verbena and a 
couple of my blue daze planted this morning, mulched & watered in before the 
rain started. Could hear the thunder in the distance and was moving at top 
speed (for me). Drizzling on and off now but we're supposed to get storms 
this afternoon. Got all the bird feeders topped off just minutes before it 
hit. Whew, Daffodils are starting to fade here too but the greggii salvias 
are truly gorgeous. Good thing too because the hummingbirds will be back 
very soon. Even my Mexican bush sage is coming back, which is a nice 
surprise considering the severity of our winter. That's a stroke of luck 
for sure.
