I like to eat fennel seed "as" a candy substitute. I think it tastes very
much like it smells, Gene. :>D

Hello Tony,
I will pass your information along to my wife. I know that I like seeing the
plant in her garden, enjoy the scent when you brush against the foliage. She
cuts all but a couple of heads off of her plants, then lets it go to seed in
the area where it stands. Come following spring all but two or three get
discarded from the paths, etc.
We have had fennel bulb roasted as a veggie. Does not taste like it
smells before cooking. Which is fine with me. I would not personally want
the taste in my food. Perhaps candy, but not food.... Do the seeds taste or
smell like the candy?
