Hi Pam...there are a bunch of us here that do that too, and also rescue the
plants before the demolition begins or the new builders move in. Many of
these abandoned or old properties have wonderful heirloom plants that have
survived and are worth rescuing. We either keep some ourselves, share with others
and/or donate them to various causes....like MG's or the poorer parts of town
where the folks love to garden, just can't afford that many plants.
