OHMYGOSH. I saw that on the news this week when I was at lunch with my husband. I never dreamed it would be somebody I knew or close to somebody I knew. How awful. I'm stunned and terribly, terribly saddened by this whole thing. I have a fear of the ocean anyway...and then I hear things like this and just cry. I do not have David's private e-mail address. Do any of you have it saved? Or have his mailing address so I can send a card?

Friends,
You may have read in the news recently about a woman who was attacked by a
great white shark at Avila Beach CA. This was David's sister, Deborah
Franzman. It would be good if we could all keep David and his family in our
prayers.
I asked him about letting the list know before sending this message as some
people mourn in their own way. He said to go ahead. You might want to drop
him a message of sympathy. This is a very sad time for the family and I
think any support would be appreciated.
