RE: Help, Baby Wren!

Chris - I just called Jesse, our wildlife rehab expert (she and her
husband are licensed to do this). She has company tonight and can't get
on line. She said to tell you to keep it hydrated - that's the main
thing that they'll die from. Try to give it drops of water from a tiny
eye dropper or even from the end of a toothpick. Also, try to feed it
chopped up worms (tiny pieces) if you can't find any in the garden,
nightcrawlers from a bait shop are great. If you don't have that, little
teeny bits of Alpo dog food also on the end of a toothpick to feed the
baby. She hasn't rehabbed a wren but other birds she has rehabbed
respond well to this treatment - good luck!!
