Re: New cutting delivery/oops

Must be exempt, David. The box had one of the official-looking stickers that said "Plant material inclosed does not need to be inspected by California Department of Agriculture".

Interesting, as there is a quaranteen of California plants to Florida! This
due to the sudden death oak syndrome. I wonder if cactus are exempt?

Subject: [CHAT] New cutting delivery

Just got a substantial delivery of cactus cuttings from Serra Gardens,
Malibu, California. Very impressed. They were seasoned, which means
well callosed and ready to root, and exceedingly well packaged.

I got four whortleberries [Myrtillocactuds geometrizans], the fruits of
which taste like blueberries; four dragon fruit [Hylocereus undutus] ,
the fruits of which have a crispy sweet apple flavor, and two cactus
figs [Opuntia ficus], the common cactus apple, but this is a thornless
selection.

Now I've just got to get them potted.
