Scavenger hunt

I'm trying to find some web sites that have information on the origin, care, and culture of Myrtillocactus geometrizans [don't try to pronounce that--you may hurt yourself], the whortleberry cactus.

I can't seem to get the cactus chat list to answer my question about potting mixes for cactus, so I have no hope for this question.
