I guess my garden is a mess (not guess, know) but I enjoy things that appear

Me, too, Auralie. I have put a lot of effort in replicating an antebellum
garden, and, with the exception of a Chinaberry tree, I've succeeded. Of
course that means that every spring I pull out more plants than I keep. In fact
I'm still pulling out touch-me-nots (Impatiens balsamina) because they reseed
all the time. :-) I've gotten very interested in gardening history, and
living in a town that is on the national registry of historic places this seemed
the way to go. My flower beds are always a mess, but they do reflect an era
in our history and my personality as well. BTW, a friend of mine is giving
me some berries from her chinaberry tree. Now all I have to do is find a
place to put it. My house is just as cluttered with memorabilia as my yard is.
