Re: storms

Well, Donna, hope you're having a good trip and good weather out
west.  I am waiting with rather baited breath to find out how Jim has
fared....not sure that hurricane has made landfall or if it has, it's
doing it right now.  Beyond the high winds associated with
hurricanes, what worries me is the 15' surges that our weatherperson
was saying would happen in Tampa Bay.  Realize Jim is not on the bay,
but Florida is flat so a 15' surge will travel far......

So, Jim, at first opportunity, please check in and let us know you're
OK!!!

What's left of it is slated to hit my area Sat. night and into
Sunday, so those between me and Florida will be getting it either
really soon or sometime tomorrow.  The first storm has already passed
through here so am assuming Jim didn't have problems from it as he
had posted earlier Thursday - realize that my 'today' is really the
wee hours of Friday and not Thursday, which is where I still am:-) 
Rained all the way back from Lynchburg, VA to DC...3.5 hour trip not
improved by heavy rain!
