Cathy: Acuity systems are a thing of the past in most health care
institutions...they now use algorithms that are based on numbers of
admissions and discharges to calculate hours per patient days...gives a
number of care providers to take care of a number of patients and then
what is the lowest skill mix RN to nursing assistant ratio they can come
up with. It really, really, really stinks!!!!!!!!
