Re: Patriotic Peony

Thanks Judy.  I have a small 2x4 ft area next to the cats' house in which I
planted those hems (oops - Crown Royal, not Crown Jewel - that's a Heuchera)
in 1998.  The catalogue doesn't show a picture - it was a less expensive
variety, but described it as purple w/ a darker eye.  To my eye, the color
in the photo is pretty close.

I finally got around to dividing them last fall and ended up with 30 pots -
gallons and several 2 gallon pots.  This year I replanted 8 in that same
spot, gave my niece 3, donated 3 for MG propagation, and sold the rest in my
sale.  So they're all 'young' again now.

wait......it just occurred to me that there is one at the base of my Henry
Lily, too.  Let me check on it.  It might be ready to divide.  I'll get back
to you.
