Oooh! I remember seeing these moths as a kid then I lived in Western New York! They are big and rather fuzzy looking. But I never saw one of their cool caterpillers!

Bonnie--caterpillar is a Cecropia Moth Larva.
When I couldn't id accurately your larva, sent the photo link on to someone I work with at the nature center and is definately a step above most folks in the nature knowledge department.
