Re: Color- yes our dogwood and japanse maple get a reddish-brown tinge this time of year. Mostly because they are planted where they shouldn't be (no cover from bigger trees) and so they get kind of crispy.

Re: sitting in the chairs- yes, occassionally to read and relax. They are in the back yard.
