Ice Cream is a neat banana. Fruits do not turn yellow when ripe, however--instead a kinda blue-green [inside is still creamy white, with nice flavor]. It's also called "Java Blue."

I have a "ICE CREAM" banana, which is suppose to be edible, and hardy. The
other bananas are not hardy and HUGE. Having fun with them, learned they
love water and retain a lot of water in the husk. I also have 2 gingers that
are about 3 1/2 feet tall and 2 pulmerias that are about 3 foot now. This
really has been a learning experience this year. :)
