   I had them in one area and they had a feast on my  Dahlias.  Dont see them 
in the Veggie area.

Fruit beetles (maybe aka June beetles?) can make enormous inroads on  a
tomato and leave sticky spots behind. You'd probably know if you've got  them
though, they're almost 1 1/2 inches long and buzz around pretty  slowly.
Iridescent dark green.
