RE: Greenhouse pollinating question...

Just shake the plants once a day or so, tomatoes are self-pollinating and
just need a little agitation to knock the pollen around. You might want to
have some grow-lights if your days are very short in winter. Cherry tomatoes
or a variety like Siberia might be your best bet - expect very thick skins,
and not as juicy as summer tomatoes, but they are fun anyway.

Subject: [CHAT] Greenhouse pollinating question...

O.K., I've never had a greenhouse and my husband is thinking about getting
me one. I would LOVE to grow tomotoes year-round. Does anybody know how to
pollinate them in the winter time? Do you just use a q-tip and touch each of
the flowers, or is there more to it than that?
