I would think classes at the BBG would be at least as comprehensive as any MG program. There are many professionals around here who go there every summer for their reknowned programs.

I would love to join the MG program but NYC refuses to host one. The 5 NYC
counties are the only ones in the state that don't, and our neighboring
counties refuse applications from outside them. It really sucks. I am
looking into taking classes at the BBG instead.

Hey, better late than NEVER! I looked into the master gardener program
here. They only take 100 people per semester. HUNDREDS show up, they
have to take a test and those that score the highest get to take the
classes. The classes are during the week when most people WORK, so there
is no way I can even think about taking the classes right now. They are
not very accomodating to everyday folks. I may have to be retirement age
just to get in!!!!
