Re: back to gardening....

My grandparents rented a pasture in front of my house when I was a kid. We often had a few horses in there. Horses tend to crop the grass pretty evenly, except for clumps they don't like. You'd have to get out a weedeater every so often & whack down the rejected bits. Of course, they might prefer some lovely shrub or flower you didn't want them to eat!

Oh well...I do a lot of things halfway well, it's why I decided not to
do so much preserving this summer. Of course then my husband decided we
need to own horses. Now I REALLY need to give up something. If I had as
much energy as I wanted to I'd give up TV, and do my preserving after
dinner. Yah, that'll happen.
We brought the horse home on Sunday btw, we go out and pet him every
half hour or so when we're not at work. Still hard to believe we own a
horse. I wonder if he'd graze the lawn evenly enough so we don't have to
mow?

Cyndi, Don't you work full time? I don't understand how you can have
such a big garden, do a lot of canning, take care of all your animals,
and a husband,too. I admire you and envy your energy. Hope you did well
at the fair. (Maybe you've already told us...I am quite far behind!)
