That was why I wanted to check on the 'Zuni' to see if it were hardy enough
for my yard.  Do you know what variety you have there in Ft. Wayne?  (Of
course, I've already spent my gift certificate.)

There are some Crepe Myrtles specially developed for colder zones.  We have
3 here in Zone 5.  I don't know exactly how long we've had them but I know
we got them sometime before 1999 and they look great.  They are grown in
fairly protected areas though.
