It is so bad, even my potted plants can't drain and filled to the rim with
water.... got holes on the bottom, but the ground is so saturated, it can't
drain! Need to get DH help me lift the big ones and set on bricks or
something....
A co-workers grandmother lives in the country not far from me,
actually I pass the house on the way to work.... the basement gave out last
night and the first floor is now in the basement. You can't even get near the
house as the ground is so soggy it just keeps fall into the basement. This is
something I have NEVER seen before... quite scary actually.

[CHAT] Storm
Donna, Can't believe you got all that rain, wind and fury when
we didn't get
a drop. My pond is mostly mud now and my collection tanks are
nearly empty
too. Well, the farmers around here are fond of saying "Don't
worry. It always
rains a moment before it's too late." Hope that's true this
time. No doubt it
will happen tonite when we will be at the Champaign Arts
Fair at "Shakespeare in
the Park". Altho I love theater I prob wouldn't go in
this heat and humidity
if my daughter weren't actively involved. The
parenting never ends does it!
