Congrats on the blue ribbons! I wouldn't write off next year yet....
being active does keep you young, so maybe a smaller version garden or
one with less maintenance is in order.

   
If you do decide to go with a raised bed, don't make it too wide and
leave plenty of space around them. I love mine that are 4ft wide as I
can circle it to weed and reach the center that way. I wish I would have
left a tad more space in between tho. Got a bigger wagon and it barely
fits. (use that to collect weeds etc as I go around....)
