Re: odd question

I must be missing something here. Is there some reason they can't cut down a live tree?

If it's healthy and has a fairly straight trunk, you might be able to contract with a timber cutter.
Dead, it's just firewood - I'm pretty sure.

Yes- we want to cut it down, just no one wants to kill it. Well, almost
no one....

But you didn't hear that from me.

But you, know, if it dies, you will have to cut it down - unless it's
out in a field somewhere.

Ok- here goes. There is a tree that no one wants, but no one can bear
to cut down. So they are hoping it will just die (mind you it is
perfectly healthy right now). What can be done to help this tree die
(in a sereptitious manner of course)??
