I have a spectacular Joe Pye in full bloom.. Don't you love them!
This is the first year in a long time that I have been able to keep
the deer from eating them down before they bloom, but somehow
this year things have not been as badly eaten as in recent years.
Knock on wood! Chet saw a mother with two fauns in the back
this morning, so any day now things could be gone.

Definitely not here. My Joe Pye is well into blooming which usually
doesn't happen until mid August. My raspberries are into their second
bearing which also usually doesn't happen until fall. Everything seems
mixed up. I'm having to be very cautious. Right now, I'm not planting
anything. Only deadheading.
