And I make my own hummer food too...a LOT cheaper. ÂI no longer hang the feeders close to my kitchen or bedroom window because they fight and then hit a window, sometimes killing one. ÂNo deaths this year, but I saw one hit the window during a wide chase and it fell. ÂI ran outside and picked it up and held it for a long time. ÂIt finally snapped out of it and flew off...thankfully.

I have five hummer feeders at my house that I change out every two days. ÂI have planted all KINDS of flowers that attract them. ÂThey make me so happy. ÂI sit on the back porch and watch them for HOURS...just fascinated.--On Tue, Aug 12, 2014 at 9:54 PM, Christopher P. Lindsey <1*@rewrite.hort.net> wrote:
Today I saw hummingbirds in my garden for the first time in twenty
years. ÂI was ecstatic!
I've always had plants to attract them, but this year it seems to
be the Browallia that do the trick. ÂThey flit from flower to flower
and leave every other species in the garden untouched.
Anyhow, I had to share.
