Of course, instead of cheese in it, you could have a cheese toastie
(grilled cheese sandwich) on the side.  Once I asked Ma to make one for me
and I couldn't believe it. She put the bread in the toaster and melted
cheese in the frying pan and poured it on the toast.  She saw the look of
bewilderment on my face and said "What?"  These people from the old country
had some strange ideas.
