Re: haggis

 I know haggis is definitely one of the grossest foods around today and for the life of me, i simply cannot understand why anyone with access to anything else to eat would choose to eat this...but in defense of the folks who "invented" this stuff...remember we are talking about a time in history when good supplies of fresh foods were not the norm and people had to get their energy from somewhere...and when you stop and think about how much protein, iron, and other essential nutrients are found in this disgusting combination, you can almost certainly bet that at some point in history it was either eat this or starve.
