well, then, maybe it will work with ficus elastica. doesn't cost anything to try. but in spring. and i'm going to try it with the lsu fig. would be great to have three or four of those.

Yes, precisely, let the end callous over, much like a Plumeria
cutting......since both have that milky white sap.  The cuttings stay viable
for quite some time too.  Just make sure it is older wood (brown) not the
fresh green.
