RE: Lee Valley Tools

OH WOW...me too. In my china hutch...I have about 20 different butterflies and moths. Also...small eggs that never hatched in wild bird nests. When I trimmed down a rose bush one fall, I found a nest in there that had been abandoned for the winter..and broken egg shells...except for one. I got one of those domed glass containers like you would put a doll, ornament or watch in...and put the nest, along with the old egg, a dried butterfly and some dried grass and such. It's so pretty. I have JARS of feathers that I pick up and save when I'm out in my garden. I call them angel feathers. Must be the American Indian in me...who knows.

Jesse,

You sound like me with the feathers and butterflies. I'm the only
person I know that has a collection of dead bugs. There's a beautiful
wooly caterpillar on a shelf in my kitchen right now.

I think of beautiful rocks, feathers, etc as messages from loved ones
who have passed on. Or, messages direct from the big guy! I weave the
feathers through a basket that hangs in the entry to my house.
