RE: Under the gardener's tree

Re> Idesia polycarpa (Flacourteaceae) Iigiri Tree.
A deciduous, 50' shade tree used along streets and in lawns and parks in
China. Large, heart-shaped, glossy, dark green leaves on long red petioles.
Orange-red berries in clusters during late summer. Zone 7.
World Plants carried it but they are sold out. I'll keep an eye out for
other suppliers while I browse the catalogues. Four more arrived today.

> My pleasure ma'am - I've gotten most of my viburnums and my caryopteris
shrubs from them - good stock and I am pleased w/ them. The shipping isn't
cheap coming from the Pacific NW, but it's still worth it to get good
stuff. Let us know how you make out. Matter of fact, I'm needing a
leatherleaf mahonia and may be visiting that site soon my own self!! :-)
