Oooh- I had forgotten about the Cannas! They should be able to stand just
about any kind of soil I suspect- And I have a coupld of spots on the
outside of my fence that are just pathetic. How much sun do they have to
get to bloom?

Excellent - thanks! And what a wonderful gift! You're gonna be one seed
starting mama this Spring!
And don't forget the cannas - fortunately they don't get planted very deep,
not much digging. It's more work lifting them and separating them then
planting them. But the exercise is great and you have to thin them out or
you end up w/ huge thickets after a couple of years and those are HELL to
dig up! I love 'em though! You will too!
