Libby, thanks for your concern. As it stands, the city council meeting
to discuss this takes place next week. The hope, as I understand it, is
to allow wolf hybrids that HAVE NO BITE HISTORY the chance to be
grandfathered. This would cover the 2 dogs I've mentioned. That I know
of, there are 200 of these animals registered in Fort Wayne; no idea how
many are unregistered. I don't know how many of the 200 have bite
histories. I don't have an email address for the council at this time,
and I have my doubts that they'd consider outside interested parties.
There is a groundswell of interest though and my hopes are high that the
ban will be overturned.
