You had me puzzled.  I was trying to figure out what meaning of the word
"spelling" you'd think the short one would object to.  So I looked it up.

This meaning below I knew, but it hadn't occurred to me.  Is this what you
were implying?  If so, yes, imagine Jim "spelling' the
receptionist.....hmmmmmm......
