All OK here in the Bay Area!!! Some here felt the quake but I did not. The
quake area is halfway between LA and San Francisco. The small town of Paso
Robles, which apparently got the most damage, had an old-fashioned downtown
with buildings of unreinforced masonry (one of the collapsed ones shown on
TV). They also had a cute clock tower that crashed. The Hearst Castle in
San Simeon apparently made it thru OK. Bad enough, woulda been much worse
if it had hit in a more populated area --
