If you don't have one you should..... they are very drought tolerant.
I got my 2 moved and they look so much bigger now that I have them where they can spread out.
I hope they make it through the winter now that I have big plans for them.

Tricia, my suggestion is to add an evergreen, perhaps a yellow one to
brighten the location.  Thanks for sharing your garden.  Looks like you
have done
much work but have lots of work ahead.
   I am really interested in the Vitex and found a Vitex negundo
heterophylla available at Arbor Village.  The hardiness was given as zone
5.  I may need
to try it.
