Just put water in the sink or a big pan, add salt, and swish the vegetables
around in it. Salt water causes the creepy-crawlies to curl up and drop
off. Just tap water doesn't dislodge them. It's really not a big deal - you
wash vegetables before you eat them anyway, don't you?
