Re: coffee grounds


That seems to me to be totally weird. But I wonder about the fragrance, too--otherwise, why bother since they make a great soil amendment for any acid-loving plant. Would seem to me more money could be made by composting them down than by compressing them into "logs."

Interesting question about the ashes. All of our foreparents extracted lye from wood ashes to make soap; would be very interesting to learn the pH of coffee ashes.
