They are all over the Home Depots I take care of. I have brought home dozens of broken stems, and I have them all rooting in the same big pot. They should make an interesting sight next year. :o)

I know the stores are now full of blooming holiday cactus [Schlumbergera sp]--at least they are here--but the non-forced, unpampered ones growing in our shady areas and patios are not far behind. They're full of buds [one has two open flowers] and it's kind of fun to guess what colors the various plants will bloom. We have one in a basket hanging in the Jamaican cherry that must have 100 buds; ought to be spectacular if they more or less open at the same time, whatever their color.Island Jim Southwest Florida 27.0 N, 82.4 W Hardiness Zone 10 Heat Zone 10 Minimum 30 F [-1 C] Maximum 100 F [38 C] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE GARDENCHAT
