Our oldest mango tree is putting out bloom spikes--no flowers open yet, but they will be in a week or so. This seems very early to me. Last year, as well as I can remember, it bloomed in late January and the cold spell the first week or so of February scared all the pollinators away and we got very little fruit set. Very curious. Of course, last year at this time it wasn't 83 degrees, but it is today.
