Re: just one of those things

Hot toddy (sp?): in a coffee cup put hot water, juice of a lemon,
several teaspoons of honey, and a shot of whisky. Works like a charm.
Shoot, just give me the shot of whisky!

  Donna, a long-time sore-throat remedy in our household has been a
mixture of lemon juice and honey. You warm about half a cup of'
honey just enough to make it a bit more runny, and stir in the juice
of a couple of lemons. Store it in the refrig. A spoonful at a time
eases sore throats and helps with coughs, and the kids really
loved it.

Anyone ever heard of using lemon juice to combat a sore throat?

A doctor friend of mine suggested used it- swish around mouth and
swallow it. Claims it activates certain glands etc as natural defense to
combat the cause of a sore throat. ( 3 times a day and also suggested
using warm salt gargle too)

I thought he was nuts, but after trying it, my week long issue is gone in a
day. Amazing.
