Oh my, Rascal isn't getting better.  It sounds like this has moved / causing damage to other organs now.
   
  Give that kitty a big hug for hours..... and I will say some kitty prayers that the cardioligist makes the right choice.

The bad news is that his heart is enlarged, and he's got "significant heart
disease that has caused congestive heart failure". He's to see the
Cardiologist tomorrow for an echocardiogram to see whether anything can be
done
