Not much here. We had a couple of frosty nights, but it's warm (40-55) and rainy the past few days. I need to prune my forsythia, but it isn't really cold enough yet. Grapes are done, Walnuts are leafless with nuts still falling. Buds on the winter blooming heathers. Trying to get in the mood to decorate for Christmas. We bought a new couch, then had to get a new washer so have already spent more than we planned. We don't have much debt so we're OK, just feeling cautious with the economy so slow. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Theresa G." <macycat3@sbcglobal.net>

Out in the garden? Hibernating? Lettuce and radishes are at the eating stage here. Peas are growing strong. Several mahonias have buds ready to pop. Even have one last rose. Making plans to cut back the banana plants soon and use their leaves to help make tamales. Bare root fruit trees will be available in a couple of weeks. I finally decided to get a plum, not a pluot. I just don't have room for 2 trees, and Santa Rosa plums don't need a pollinator. What is happening in the rest of your gardens?
