Wow, Auralie. I looked on Abe's Books, and the cheapest Possum there was $180+ from a bookseller in Australia.

What a treasure, Jim. Where did you find this gem? Not in the same class at all, but I recently searched for a book I thought my youngest generation of grandchildren should have - Frank Tashin's "The Possum That Didn't." This wonderful book had been afavorite of my older sons. I knew it probably wasn't in print, but I wasnot prepared forwhat I found. Amazon provided a source for two copiesfrom antique book dealers. One was priced at $295.00, and the other at $850.00. I pulled my battered copy off the shelf and scanned it in, making a pretty reasonable copy that the kids can play with. I wasn't about togive them mine. Maybe I should put it in the bank. Does anyone else remember this book? It's Philip Miller's "The Gardeners Kalendar; Directing what Works are necessary to be done every month in the Kitchen, Fruit, and Pleasure-Gardens, as also in the Conservatory and Nursery." 11th edition; 1757. It's a bit worse for wear but quite legible. Calfskin binding and good rag paper. Altogether, it's in pretty good shape for being 250 years old.**************One site keeps you connected to all your email: AOL Mail,Gmail, and Yahoo Mail.
