If anyone is buying tomato seeds, Tomato Fest is having a sale. Shipping on 32 dollars worth was 5.95 .

That was pretty much what I was noticing when I tracked my own stuff; you might save a couple dollars on shipping here or there but in general, it was more cost-effective just to pick one vendor and get everything from them. I usually spoiled it though because I wanted to try new companies plus I always had favorites for buying onion transplants and potato starts. I'm still leafing through catalogs and decided I will grow a few sunflowers this year. Maybe some zinnias too, I think I can find space. However sometimes I've had to order seeds for the MGs. For the most part, it comes down to the fact that particular cultivars I want are available from only one source. If this cultivar is a critical choice, then I would probably buy everything from that source. Maybe their tomato price is higher than someone else, but they have that specific hollyhock I want to try. Where you can lose money is by buying from 3 different places at the lowest prices and then get eaten up by shipping. T&M has high shipping, but they have what I want, so I ordered 2 kinds of tomatoes, a hollyhock, and a nifty cosmos this year. I find Pinetree Garden Seeds to be the most reasonable on their shipping charges. Haven't run across anything like it yet either, but if you do, I'd be interested to know.
